Rev. Dr. Natasha Jamison Gadson is a preacher, teacher, consultant, and strategist. As a native New Yorker, Dr. Gadson is known to infuse her exegetical and spirit-filled preaching with authenticity, humor, and charm. Her open and transparent style has been a tremendous asset to her ministry, allowing her to connect with and effectively serve God’s people.

Trained in both head and heart, Dr. Gadson holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Morgan State University, graduate degrees from both Howard University and Wesley Theological Seminary, and in May of 2016 earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from Duke Divinity School.

Ordained in 2006, Dr. Gadson is an itinerant elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church and has had the opportunity to serve several churches in the Baltimore and Washington Conferences in a number of ministerial and leadership capacities. Shortly after completing her doctoral studies, Dr. Gadson joined the staff of Turner Memorial AME Church under the leadership of Pastor Daryl K. Kearney where she serves as the Executive Minister.

In her current role, Dr. Gadson is responsible for providing leadership to the church's ministry leaders for the purpose of evaluating ministry effectiveness, facilitating long term strategic planning, and creating opportunities for training and development both within and beyond the walls of the church. 

Trained as a consultant and researcher, Dr. Gadson specializes in the area of leadership development and ministerial identity. Her research focus has afforded her many great opportunities to work closely with great leaders and to publish several articles. In 2007 Dr. Gadson launched KerygmaWord Inc. (Ka-rig’-ma) to serve as the umbrella for her preaching, writing, and consulting activities. Over time the brand has evolved to accommodate her passion for helping others discover their gifts and shift into God’s purpose for their lives.

Dr. Gadson is an educator, having taught courses in communication and leadership at Howard University, Prince George's Community College, and University of Maryland University College. She most recently served as a Spiritual Formation instructor for D.Min. students at Duke Divinity School.

Dr. Gadson is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

In her personal life, Dr. Gadson pursues God’s vision for her life and ministry alongside her husband and college sweetheart Damon W. Gadson. Dr. Gadson is truly grateful for God’s assignment on her life and continues to be amazed by the ways God is at work in her life and ministry.
